Bayhill Premier Cup
The Bayhill Premier Cup is Africa’s oldest, most prestigious and successful U/19 football tournament.
The tournament offers youth from various disadvantaged and advantaged backgrounds an equal and fair platform to compete.
The high-performance atmosphere attracts sports scouts from across South Africa and abroad with as many as 500 aspiring football players selected to play at senior level annually.
The tournament allows participation of thirty-two (32) teams. Ten (10) spots are normally secured for visiting teams from outside the Western Cape and abroad.
Popular teams like Kaiser Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, Moroka Swallows, Wits, Silver Stars, Super Sports and Mamelodi Sundowns, Bloemfontein Celtic, Highlands Park, and other big names from all provinces have participated in the tournament over the years.
The tournament has also attracted teams from outside the borders of South Africa namely: Namibia, Nigeria, England, New Zealand, and Germany.
