Cape Point Triathlon

Simon’s Town plays host to the newest addition to the South African Triathlon Series – the Cape Point Triathlon.

Featuring ultra, standard and sprint-distance races, the Cape Point Triathlon welcomes solo athletes and relay teams. It offers an unforgettable challenge for everyone from first-time participants to seasoned competitors.

The spectacular routes begin at Simon’s Town Harbour Beach before winding past secluded coves. Furthermore, they tackle the iconic Smitswinkel climb with panoramic views across False Bay.

Then, the route skirts the Cape Point Nature Reserve and the nearby ostrich farm. All this takes place surrounded by unspoiled fynbos where whales and baboons are occasionally spotted.

With both the swim start and finish line located in Simon’s Town, the event promises a vibrant race-day atmosphere in the heart of one of South Africa’s oldest and most picturesque towns.
