Taking riders on a 109km journey around the Cape Peninsula, the Cape Town Cycle Tour is South Africa’s premier mass participation cycling event.
With a vehicle-free route offering cyclists the freedom of the open road, vibrant roadside support, and sweeping ocean views from Chapman’s Peak, this ride is a bucket-list experience.
Each year, around 30 000 cyclists line up across three routes including the flagship 109km route starts with a start Grand Parade and circles the Cape Peninsula.
The 78km Invitational Women’s Race and the U17 Boys Race both set off from Fish Hoek and finish in Green Point. For the fourth consecutive year, the 42km route will take riders from the Grand Parade through the Southern Suburbs before finishing in the city centre.
The Cape Town Cycle Tour isn’t just a race, it’s every cyclist’s dream ride and a visual feast for the eyes.
