HSBC Sevens Challenger – Round 2
The HSBC Sevens Challenger 2025 returns to Cape Town with back-to-back rounds featuring 12 men’s and 12 women’s national teams from six global regions.
This is the second tier of competition below the SVNS. The first two of three Challenger tournaments will be hosted in the Mother City.
The tournament will see four pools of three teams each, based on rankings from previous competitions. All teams have qualified for the Challenger via regional competitions.
At the conclusion of the second round in Cape Town, the Top four ranked men’s and women’s teams with the most cumulative points gained across three Challenger rounds at end of third round will qualify for the high stakes HSBC SVNS Play Off in Los Angeles on 3-4 May and an opportunity to gain promotion.
