Jive Funny Championship Heats

With the ever-increasing global demand A competition looking for South Africa’s next hilarious comedian. Taking place over a four-week period, the weekly winner goes through to the finals where the top contestant will win a chance to perform at the Cape Town Funny Festival 2024.

For years the Jive Cape Town Funny Festival has brought acts from all over the world to perform on its stage, but it has also shown us a range of amazing local comedic talents. One of the objectives of this festival is to discover young up-and-coming comedians from Cape Town and give them a chance to show off their funny alongside the star-studded cast.

This competition is open to everyone to enter – from the people who keep their friends laughing and those who create funny videos online, to the undiscovered comedians playing the stand-up underground circuit. Come witness the birth of hilarious new talent!
