KKKA Minstrel Competitions

The KKKA Minstrel Competitions bring colour, music and tradition to Cape Town in one of the city’s most vibrant cultural celebrations. Each year, more than 20 000 performers and supporters gather to experience the spectacle of brightly coloured satin suits, twirling umbrellas and lively musical performances.

Leading the procession are the talented Voorlopers (Drum Majors), who captivate crowds with their incredible footwork, energy and showmanship. Their performances set the stage for an unforgettable celebration of music, dance and culture.
