The kykNET Silwerskermfees embraces, expands, and celebrates South African stories annually by hosting a content festival in Camps Bay.

As a prolific and seminal local industry event, the festival showcases South African stories with Afrikaans dialogue in film, TV and streamer content honouring local films and filmmakers since 2011.

The festival’s diverse program includes South African and world premieres of local feature films, a curated selection of fresh short films highlighting emerging story-tellers’ unique voices, screenings of recent acclaimed films and documentaries, and a series of valuable industry workshops, panel discussions and master classes.
