More Than Just Racing. It’s Heritage

Heritage Day may fall on Thursday, but the celebrations continue into the weekend. On Saturday, 26 September, the Matchem Stakes brings the first feature race day of the Race Coast Spring Season to Hollywoodbets Durbanville.

Expect an afternoon of racing, live local music, good food and great company at the Country Course. The day features three feature races: the Matchem Stakes Gr 3, Diana Stakes Gr 3 and Settlers Trophy L.

Meanwhile, the popular Potjiekos Competition returns with teams competing for amazing prizes. Racegoers can also sample the different dishes while enjoying beer specials and the lively atmosphere.

The entertainment continues with homegrown artists and DJs performing throughout the day. In addition, 20 thrift market stalls will offer plenty to browse between races.

Families can also enjoy the free, supervised Kids’ Zone. It includes jumping castles, arcade games, crafts, face painting, balloon artists and more.

Adults: R30, including a soft drink. Kids under 18: R10, including a free slushie and popcorn.
