A vibrant literary event that brings together authors, readers, and literary enthusiasts for a multi-day celebration of literature, featuring author discussions, book launches, workshops, and various cultural activities in a dynamic and inclusive atmosphere.

Since 2011, Open Book Festival has created safe spaces where diverse communities can engage in meaningful conversations and explore some of the challenges we face as South Africans and global citizens.

Join us in building a love of books, reading and storytelling. Through the art of storytelling, we can gain a better understanding of each other and promote empathy.
