KIRSTENBOSCH SUMMER CONCERTS: LIVE MUSIC, STUNNING VIEWS
The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts are back, offering four months of incredible live performances from some of South Africa’s top artists under the shadow of Table Mountain.
Whether you’re into Micasa, Mango Groove, Mafikizolo, or the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, the summer concerts bring a vibrant range of performances, featuring acts like Will Linley, Loukmaan, Emo Adams, Watershed, Mujahid George, Ami Faku, and more.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Table Mountain, the concerts have been a celebration of local artistry and have provided hits for Cape Town’s summer soundtrack for over thirty years.
The popular Kirstenbosch Concerts started on 8 December with the Cradle to the Cape Concert featuring Zolani Mahola, Arno Carstens, Albert Frost, and Laurie Levine. They will keep crowds entertained every Sunday for 17 weeks until 30 March 2025.
UNITY AT KIRSTENBOSCH
Loukmaan and Emo Adams will lead a stellar line-up of local artists for the second installment of Unity at Kirstenbosch on 22 December 2024.
With a cast that includes The Black Ties, idols winner Berry, Robin Pieters and Sean D – Unity at Kirstenbosch will be a celebration of the Mother City’s musical heritage and an evening of vibes.
Gates for the concert open at 16:00 with the show kicking off at 17:15.

NEW YEAR’S EVE
Lloyiso and Will Linley are set to kick off the celebrations into 2025 with an unforgettable performance at the New Year’s Eve Concert on 31 December 2024.
A familiar face at the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts, Lloyiso will deliver a blend of heartfelt ballads, popular hits, and vibrant energy that will have the crowd on their feet.
Joining him, Will Linley, a two-time performer at Kirstenbosch, will keep the vibe lively with his catchy hooks and upbeat tunes, ensuring everyone enters the New Year on a high note.

CELEBRATING SOUTH AFRICAN MUSIC LEGENDS
This season’s summer Sunset Concerts truly celebrate South African music and milestone moments, with two groups marking major anniversaries.
Mango Groove, celebrating 40 years of unforgettable hits, will light up the stage on 12 January 2025 with a performance full of their signature energy, timeless classics, and surprises.
On 16 March 2025, one of South Africa’s most loved pop rock bands, Watershed, will bring its anniversary tour to Kirstenbosch, reflecting on its 25-year journey in the music industry.
The band will play some of its soulful lyrics and platinum-selling hits that have endured the group to local fans for over two decades.
Together, these performances add a nostalgic yet vibrant energy to the 2024/2025 season.
