URC COASTAL DERBY & SA20 FINAL IN CAPE TOWN

Cape Town is gearing up for a major weekend of sport, with a Vodacom United Rugby Championship coastal derby. In addition, the Betway SA20 Final is set to draw tens of thousands of spectators to the city.

The DHL Stormers will host the Sharks at DHL Stadium on Saturday 24 January 2026 in Round 10 of the URC.

The home side heads into the clash unbeaten this season and will be aiming to extend their strong home form in front of the Faithful.

The Stormers are also boosted by the return of its backline for this all-important derby.

“This is our third and final home derby of the season and we are set for another blockbuster in front of a huge crowd,” says Stormers Director of Rugby John Dobson.

“These are the matches that players, coaches and fans live for and we know that it will take a big performance to get the result.

“We have some quality players coming into the team and they will all need to hit the ground running and bring plenty of intensity.

“It is fantastic to have the likes of Cobus, Damian and Warrick back in the mix and we are also excited to see what the likes of Marcel and Louw can do given this opportunity.”
