EPIC DHL STORMERS & BULLS SHOWDOWN IN CAPE TOWN
A match between the DHL Stormers and the Vodacom Bulls is more than just a game of rugby.
It’s a long-standing rivalry that goes back decades. It’s a North vs South showdown that always produces fireworks.
It’s one of the most anticipated fixtures which its roots in Super Rugby days when the winning side claimed higher ground over the other.
When the two sides meet on 8 February 2025 at DHL Stadium, it will be more than just bragging rights up for grabs.
With 45,000 moved by Tuesday (4 February), the full house crowd at DHL Stadium is in for a spectacular atmosphere.
For the Stormers, a win could help the local team get its playoff hopes back on track.
The Bulls will be playing to further cement their place in contention for a home-ground advantage in the playoff.
The Tshwane-based side is currently third in the Vodacom URC table while the Stormers placed 12th, just outside the playoff spots.
After the Bulls game, the Stormers will have only eight matches to improve its URC playoff chances.
HISTORIC RIVALRY
While the Bulls are flying high in the URC this season, the Stormers have had the better of their long-time rivals winning seven of the last eight matches between the sides.
This also includes a URC Final victory in 2022 and a quarterfinal win in 2023 for the Stormers.
The home team is also five-for-five against the Bulls at DHL Stadium in the URC.
However, the Bulls won the last fixture, played at Loftus, between the two sides in March 2024.

GAME DAY
Gates at DHL Stadium will open at 11:00 with kick-off at 14:00.
Spectators are encouraged to arrive at the stadium early. Due to limited parking in and around the Green Point Precinct, fans should take the free MyCiTi shuttle to the stadium, e-hailing or use the FanWalk.
The shuttle service will take fans to the stadium from the Civic Centre, Thibault Square and the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
This is only available to ticket holders.
The shuttle service will start operating from 10:30 from the Civic Centre, CTICC and Thibault Square.
At the CTICC, the shuttle will operate from the City Sightseeing bus stop near Entrance 3 on Walter Sisulu Avenue.
The last bus will leave the stadium and Green Point Precinct at 18:00.
Approximately 1000 parking bays are available at the CTICC at a cost. The parking is open from 10:00 and online booking is available to secure a spot.
For those taking the bus, the City of Cape Town will open up its parking areas for ticket holders from 10:00.
The parking bays, accessible from Hertzog Boulevard incoming and on Civic Road, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Paid parking is also available at Parkalot on Jack Craig Street and at the Harbour Arch on Harbour Arch Boulevard.
